Orange Arrow Players Association

John Morgan III is committed to using his platform to inspire youth in his community.

PITTSBURGH, PA (June 22, 2022) – Pitt defensive lineman John Morgan III has partnered with Primanti Bros. to raise funds for the nonprofit organization, Orange Arrow Players Association. A student-athlete at the University of Pittsburgh, Morgan is an active volunteer with Orange Arrow and is committed to using his name, image, and likeness, with the support of R3V Sports, to ensure others experience the valuable lessons the program instills.

Orange Arrow provides programming to prepare student-athletes to aim for success off the field. The foundational skill set Orange Arrow provides is crucial for any young person, with a focus on student athletes. Orange Arrow reaches these students by having college student-athletes, like Morgan, serve as their mentors.

“Primanti Bros is excited to partner with John Morgan III,” said Ryan Wilkinson, Director of Marketing, Primanti Bros. “With our new ability to partner with collegiate athletes, we’re excited to tell their stories to our fans – and to help bring awareness to their charitable partners.”

Morgan’s commitment to putting others above himself is evident in his decision to provide scholarships for young athletes to experience the program because he understands the importance of developing life skills outside of sports. He has taken an active role in recruiting young student-athletes in his hometown of Upper Marlboro, Maryland and his current playing city, Pittsburgh, to participate in this crucial life skills program at no cost to them or their families, so that every child has the opportunity to participate and grow off of the field.

“The fact that John decided to use his platform and the NIL opportunity to give back to the community is a testament to the person he is and the family that he comes from,” said Shawn Robinson, founder and president of Orange Arrow. “I’m grateful that he selected Orange Arrow as a vehicle to give back.”
