A week-long golf challenge to raise funds to help expand the capacity of the OA student-athlete development program so more youth are ready for the game of life.

THE CHALLENGE
The Orange Arrow Golf Challenge asks participants to donate to Orange Arrow, then play either golf, Topgolf, or miniature golf at the course of their choosing during the week of May 1 – 15, 2022. By registering with OA ahead of time, participants will have the chance to be entered in raffle drawings, receive cool OA swag, and support a great cause, featuring the OA Performance Invitational.
In lieu of hosting an in-person event, Orange Arrow crafted an innovative approach to your typical golf tournament that will be fun and engaging through social media, while allowing for safer connections despite potential COVID restrictions.

The cost to the family is $75; OA will take care of the rest. Because some families are unable to pay the cost for the academy, your donation will provide meals, OA gear, and supplies needed to participate in the Performance Invitational.
THE CAUSE
The OA Performance Invitational is a hybrid summer academy for grade school student-athletes to be coached in life skills performance by D1 Power 5 college student-athletes. At the OA Performance Invitational, student-athletes can look forward to highly-engaging activities using the theme of the curriculum from the OA12 Playbook, guest speakers, competition-based learning, virtual university tours, food, and more. The academy will be hybrid, three days virtual and one day in-person for a team building activity. Remaining funds will support the OA12 student-athlete development program during the academic year.
It is vitally important that they learn how to operate outside of the bubble of athletics.
OA is giving these young people critical thinking skills. They are going to be better decision makers.

I look forward to the OA 12 sessions every weekend, and getting to know the grade school athletes, as well as the other coaches. This has been a highlight of my freshman year here at Pitt.
